How do I check the status of my residence card case?

Updated: 2 November 2026

You check the status with the voivodeship office handling your case — by phone, by e-mail or online. Online checks are available in: Dolnośląskie (Wrocław), Lubelskie (Lublin), Mazowieckie (Warszawa), Opolskie (Opole), Pomorskie (Gdańsk), Wielkopolskie (Poznań).

MOS only shows that the application was sent (status 'Przesłany'), the UPO receipt and the filing certificate — it does not show further progress.

Have ready: your case number (znak sprawy), the MOS application number, your name as in your passport, date of birth and passport number. Many offices answer faster by e-mail.
