Frequently asked questions

Which documents do I need for: Car registration?

Mandatory: Passport — scans of all pages (Paszport); Current residence card — both sides (Karta pobytu); Proof of ownership — purchase contract or invoice; foreign — with a sworn translation (Dowód własności); Previous registration certificate (or Polish one for a car bought in Poland) and plates (Dowód rejestracyjny); Proof of excise payment AKC-U/S or exemption certificate (Akcyza); Technical inspection certificate from an SKP station — imported car (Badanie techniczne); OC third-party policy — mandatory from the registration day (Polisa OC). The rest depends on your situation — see the full list on this page and in the PL360• app.

Do the documents have to be translated?

None of the documents on this list requires a sworn translation as a rule; the office may still ask for a translation of foreign-language documents.

Who prepares the documents and files the application?

PL360• (Wrocław) prepares the application and annexes, checks the documents and handles contact with the office under a power of attorney. The status of every document is visible in the app.

This handbook is also in the PL360• app — free of charge, even without registration. Documents
